Virginia Chapter Leader
Ananya Gourishetty
My love and interest for science bleeds into my education; I have recently completed an earth science course sponsored by NASA; and am currently working towards solving a mission simulation. The medical field is something that fascinates me to a very high extent which is why this past summer I spent 1 weeks shadowing med students at VCU; through this experience I gained knowledge of medical procedures and aspects of neuroscience. My ultimate goal in terms of my events which I plan on carrying out in my event is to combine science with technology and connecting them with how it can be used in the future.”

Girls Computing League works hard every day to help students achieve their dreams of entering a technical career field. We work with companies both to create higher education opportunities for students and hunt for mentors willing to support the next generation of computer scientists. However, we are reliant on our global community of enthusiasts, students and activists to bring about true change. If you are a student who would like to join this local chapter and be apart of the movement to bring about global change through computer science click on the button below to get started.
